Mind Wellbeing is designed to be most impactful when studied in a group setting. While participants can certainly read the book on their own, it is even more enriching when studied collectively.
Engaging in a group setting allows participants to discuss the topics, support and motivate each other, learn from shared experiences, and gain deeper insights. The workbook is structured in such a way that it can guide each session, freeing facilitators from the need to take on a heavily involved role in delivering the content.
Instead, facilitators can focus their energies on the vital tasks of fostering positive group dynamics, encouraging active participation, and building a sense of community among group members. As a facilitator, your primary role will be to lead, organise, and ensure that participants engage deeply with the material and with each other through group activities and discussions.
Mind Wellbeing is suitable for adults and older adolescents. However, some younger individuals may also grasp the concepts and benefit from studying the book, as the language is kept simple and engaging. Please use your discretion regarding the book's suitability for younger individuals.
In the following sections, we will explore how to effectively study the book and utilise its key features.
Please note: The key instructions and details provided in this manual about how to use the Mind Wellbeing workbook are also incorporated into the workbook itself. While this information is provided here for your reference, you won’t need to deliver this content during sessions. Just as with all the other information in the workbook, simply allow the book to guide the sessions as you study it with the participants.
